What a beautiful afternoon. Driving home past the soccer fields on the edge of a local forest preserve a little after 6 my wife spotted a dozen white tails in the sun. We are 35 miles as the crow flies from the center of Chicago!

It looks healthy, too! Our newest issue of Montana Outdoors had an article about the urban deer problem here in Montana. Last year two mule deer bucks had to be put down by wardens because they were charging employees and children at a daycare in downtown Helena.
